Siskiyou County Public Health Offers Free Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) Starting June 18
Siskiyou County Public Health is pleased to offer the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)—a free, six-week class designed to support individuals at risk for or living with diabetes, as well as their caregivers and family members.
The DEEP program aims to:
- Improve and maintain the quality of life for individuals with pre-diabetes and diabetes
- Prevent complications and long-term health impacts
- Promote healthy eating habits and proper nutrition
- Encourage increased physical activity
- Develop practical self-care skills
- Strengthen communication between patients and their healthcare providers

Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Location: Public Health Conference Room, 810 S. Main Street, Yreka, CA
Eligibility:
The program is open to all community members who are:
- At risk for diabetes
- Diagnosed with pre-diabetes or Type 2 diabetes
- Supporting someone who is managing diabetes
Registration is required, and space is limited.
