Transferability of Building Permits:
The person or persons, or company to whom a building permit has been issued shall NOT be transferred, re-assigned, or convey such permit to another person for the purpose of completing the work for which the permit was issued. When a person to whom the permit was issued no longer has vested interest in the building, structure, or premises or property for which the work authorized by the building permit is being performed or is no longer responsible for the work being performed, the building permit shall automatically become null and void. All work must stop, and no person shall proceed with such work without first submitting for and obtaining a new building permit. Please review the county bulletins for the procedures for obtaining new building permits and obtaining permission from design professional for the use of stamped and approved engineered drawings.
