2026 Current Building Codes

California Building Standards Commission (BSC) adopts updated versions of the amended model Building Codes called the California Code of Regulations Title 24 every three years. The Building Codes are always available for review at the Building Department.  The current building codes and previous building codes are available to view online on the California Building Codes [1] site. 

The California and National Codes may be purchased from some bookstores or online or from the International Code Council, 4051 Flossmoor Road Country Club Hills IL, 60478, (800)786-4452 (always phone for a price prior to ordering).  The entire list represents several hundred dollars.  

Effective January 1, 2026 the following Building Codes are currently in effect and must be consulted in the preparation of your construction plans.
