Sandbags Available Due to Heavy Rain

Due to heavy rain, the Siskiyou County Public Works Department is making sandbags available to residents who may need them for flood protection.

Sandbags and sand are available at the following County Yard locations during regular business hours:

Yreka Central County Yard
279 Sharps Road, Yreka, CA 96097
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Scott Valley County Yard
133 Scott River Road, Fort Jones, CA 96032
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Mt. Shasta County Yard
2839 Pine Grove Drive, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

McCloud County Yard
1011 Walnut Street, McCloud, CA 96057
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Happy Camp County Yard
64738 Airport Road, Happy Camp, CA 96067
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Important Information:

• Both sand and bags are provided on-site.
• Sand is for use only in the bags provided.
• Trucks will not be filled, and sand is not available by the truckload.

Residents are encouraged to take appropriate precautions during periods of heavy rain and localized flooding.
