The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Garrett Richardson to serve as Director of Public Works, effective December 9, 2025. The appointment was formally approved at the Board’s December 9 meeting.
Richardson previously served as the County’s Deputy Director of Public Works, where he played a key role in managing daily operations, supervising major infrastructure projects, and supporting the department’s long-term planning and maintenance efforts.

“I am truly honored to step into this role and to continue serving the county that I have always called home. Over the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team that keeps Siskiyou County moving every single day. I am excited for the opportunity to lead this department and to continue the essential work of maintaining and improving our roads, infrastructure, and public facilities for our residents, businesses, and visitors.” Said Richardson.
