Disaster Assistance Available Following December 2025 Storms

Residents, businesses, and nonprofit organizations impacted by the late December 2025 storms may be eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Siskiyou County is included in the federal disaster declaration.

Who May Qualify

• Homeowners and renters: Assistance to repair or replace homes and personal property
• Businesses and nonprofits: Loans for physical damage and economic losses, even if no property damage occurred
• Mitigation funding: Additional assistance may be available for improvements that reduce future storm impacts

Loan Details

• Interest rates as low as 2.875% for homeowners
• Interest rates as low as 4% for businesses
• Interest rates as low as 3.625% for nonprofits
• Repayment terms up to 30 years
• No payments or interest due for the first 12 months

Application Deadlines

• Physical damage loans: April 6, 2026
• Economic injury loans: November 3, 2026
