Supervisor Valenzuela Represents Siskiyou County at National Association of Counties Annual Conference

Siskiyou County Supervisor Valenzuela represented the County this week at the 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The NACo Annual Conference is the nation's premier gathering of county elected officials and senior county leaders, bringing together representatives from more than 3,000 counties, parishes, and boroughs to collaborate on the issues shaping local government. In addition to educational sessions and networking opportunities, the conference serves as the association's annual business meeting, where county leaders help establish NACo's federal policy priorities for the coming year.

Throughout the conference, Supervisor Valenzuela participated in committee meetings, educational sessions, and discussions focused on strengthening county government, improving public services, and addressing the unique opportunities and challenges facing rural communities.

Participation in the conference provides an opportunity to exchange ideas with county leaders from across the country, learn about innovative programs and best practices, and build relationships that can benefit Siskiyou County. The conference also allows county officials to engage in national conversations about policies and legislation that impact local governments and the communities they serve.
