A Summer to Remember at Lake Siskiyou
The County of Siskiyou is proud to share the success of a special end-of-summer event made possible through partnership with Lake Siskiyou Resort, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, our Community Resource Centers, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Shasta, and the Ford Family Foundation. Together, we hosted a group of young boys and girls for two weekends at Lake Siskiyou Resort that provided adventure, connection, and lasting memories.
A Weekend of Fun and Friendship
Over the course of their stay, the kids were able to take part in a wide variety of activities that highlighted the beauty and recreation opportunities of our region. They enjoyed swimming in the lake, going on boat rides provided by the Sheriff Department, exploring different water activities, watching an outdoor movie and spending time around the campfire under the stars. Camping in the fresh mountain air gave them a chance to experience the outdoors in a way that many had never experienced before.
From laughter on the beach to stories shared around the fire, the weekends offered more than just fun—it gave these children the opportunity to build friendships, try new things, and create positive memories that will last a lifetime.
The Power of Partnership
Events like this do not happen without strong collaboration. By joining together, Lake Siskiyou Resort, the Sheriff’s Office, and our Community Resource Centers helped ensure that these kids had a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment. The County is grateful for the dedication of each partner in making this event possible and for their shared commitment to uplifting the next generation.
Looking Ahead
The weekends at Lake Siskiyou served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community partnerships and the role they play in creating opportunities for youth. Providing positive, healthy experiences for our young people strengthens our entire community.
On behalf of the County of Siskiyou, thank you to everyone who contributed time, resources, and heart to making this event a success. It was truly a summer to remember!
