Siskiyou County Illuminates Government Building in Green for Veterans
The County of Siskiyou is proud to join a nationwide effort led by the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers (NACVSO) by illuminating the County Government building in green from November 9, 2025, through November 15, 202,5 in honor of the Operation Green Light for Veterans campaign.
During the week leading up to Veterans Day and through the rest of the week, thousands of counties across the United States will shine green lights to symbolize their gratitude and support for the brave men and women who have served our country.
Why it matters:
Counties play a vital role in connecting veterans with needed benefits and services—from VA health care, job placement, housing assistance to mental-health support. By participating in this visual campaign, Siskiyou County underscores its year-round commitment to veterans and their families.

Operation Green Light is a national initiative of NACo and NACVSO that invites counties across the country to light their buildings green the week of Veterans Day, fostering awareness of veterans’ unique challenges and the support services available.
