Fireworks Prohibited in Unincorporated Areas of Siskiyou County

Fireworks Prohibited Website

As we approach the 4th of July holiday, Siskiyou County encourages everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly. Please be aware that personal fireworks are prohibited within the unincorporated areas of Siskiyou County, as outlined in County Code Ordinance No. 22-11.

According to the ordinance:

"No person shall sell, offer for sale, use, discharge, display, possess, or store fireworks (Health and Safety Code § 12511) within the unincorporated area of Siskiyou County."

This prohibition is in place to help protect lives, property, and natural resources. With wildfire danger at critically high levels, we urge residents and visitors to avoid any personal fireworks and instead enjoy one of the many professional fireworks shows happening throughout the county.
