Siskiyou County Honors Joy Pragg for 30 Years of Dedicated Public Service

Joy Pragg Award

The County of Siskiyou is proud to recognize Joy Pragg, Senior Legal Secretary, for an incredible 30 years of service to the community and her fellow County employees.

Throughout her distinguished career, Joy has served across several departments, beginning at Health and Human Services, then moving to the Child Support Division, and ultimately completing her service in the Probation Department. No matter the role, Joy consistently brought professionalism, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose to her work.

Described by colleagues as both steady and kind, Joy has always found meaning in helping others. She has been a reliable and generous presence in every department she’s touched, earning widespread respect and admiration for her integrity and dedication.

As she enters retirement, Joy looks forward to spending her time crafting handmade cards, gardening, reading, and enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Philip.

In her own lighthearted words of advice for the next generation:
“Keep the candy bowl full and check the box for adult.”

On July 8, 2025, the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted a proclamation honoring Joy’s remarkable career and expressing sincere gratitude for her service.

Congratulations, Joy, and thank you for three decades of dedication to Siskiyou County. We wish you a joyful and fulfilling retirement!
