Now Accepting Credit & Debit Cards at Select Transfer Stations
Siskiyou County is pleased to announce that credit and debit card payments are now accepted at the Black Butte (Mount Shasta) and Oberlin (Yreka) Transfer Stations.
Card payments are accepted with signature only and may be made using:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Discover
- American Express
Processing Fee Information
All card transactions include a processing fee of 2.25%, with a $2.00 minimum fee per transaction.
- For smaller transactions, the $2.00 minimum fee applies.
- Example: A $5 transaction will include a $2.00 processing fee.
- For larger transactions, the 2.25% processing fee applies instead.
- Example: A $100 transaction will include a $2.25 processing fee.
Only one processing fee applies per transaction, whichever is greater.
This expanded payment option is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to improve convenience, efficiency, and customer service at local transfer stations.
