Oberlin Free Tire Day July 12

Siskiyou County General Services is pleased to offer a FREE waste tire drop-off event for all Siskiyou County residents. This is a great opportunity to safely and responsibly dispose of old tires at no cost.

Event Details:
Dates: Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12, 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (each day)
Location: Oberlin Road Transfer Station, 2420 E Oberlin Road, Yreka, CA
Who Can Participate: Siskiyou County residents only (no commercial businesses)

Important Guidelines:

  • Limit of 9 tires per vehicle (multiple trips OK)
  • Car, truck, and SUV tires up to 24.5 inches are accepted
  • NO tires on rims
  • NO tractor or truck tires over 24.5 inches
  • NO commercial or business-generated tires

Please arrive early. The event will close for the day once the trailer reaches capacity.

California law prohibits transporting more than 9 tires per vehicle at a time without special permission. Residents needing to transport more may request approval for up to 20 tires per trip through the Siskiyou County Environmental Health Department.
