Fireworks Prohibited in Unincorporated Areas of Siskiyou County
As the 4th of July approaches, the County would like to remind residents and visitors that personal fireworks are prohibited in the unincorporated areas of Siskiyou County under County Ordinance No. 22-11.
With dry vegetation, warm temperatures, and increased wildfire danger, even one spark can quickly become a serious threat to homes, businesses, livestock, natural resources, and the safety of our communities.
While personal fireworks are not allowed, celebrations are still encouraged. Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the holiday safely by attending a professional fireworks display, gathering with family and friends, and choosing activities that do not create fire risk.
The County thanks the public for doing their part to help prevent wildfires and keep our communities safe this Independence Day.
